Jennifer Toland
Jennifer completed her Canadian manual therapy exams in 2000 and practiced in the outpatient therapy department at Sunnybrook HSC in orthopaedic manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation since the mid 1990’s. until 2022. She received her certificate of competency in vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University (Atlanta, Georgia) and the American Physical Therapy Association in 2007, her competency certificate for cervicogenic dizziness in 2009 and her competencey certificate in the interpretation and application of vestibular laboratory testing in 2010. Jennifer founded the vestibular rehabilitation program at Sunnybrook was the clinical leader for this area. In 2008, Jennifer completed the Master’s of Clinical Science (in the area of manipulative therapy) atthe University of Western Ontario, working on research in the area of whiplash associated disorders and chronic pain.
Cheryl Davies
Cheryl Davies Owner/Physiotherapist B.Sc.(PT), B.Sc., Cred MDT Cheryl Davies is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated in 1994 from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to that Cheryl obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph in 1991. Cheryl has varied experience in Orthopaedics working in the Hospital and Private clinic settings with workplace injuries, sports injuries and motor vehicle accidents. Cheryl has extensive post graduate training on the treatment of muscle, joint, ligaments and nerve injuries. Cheryl is credentialed in the McKenzie system for assessment and treatment of neck and back injuries. A lifelong learner, Cheryl has completed various post graduate orthopaedic and manual therapy courses and examinations. Some of the Orthopedic and manual therapy courses Cheryl has taken include completion of the Orthopaedic divisions Level 1 through 5 Orthopedic manual therapy courses as well as world renowned Wendy Aspinall's Peripheral and Spinal Orthopedic Courses. She has also taken various taping, neurodynamic, acupuncture, and Mulligan courses. Cheryl is a co-owner of Brooklin Village Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. Cheryl has a special interest in treating TMJ or temporal mandibular joint (jaw) problems. She is also very interested in treating and educating women after having children on how to restore their core including pelvic floor (Postpartum Health for Mom's). Cheryl's hobbies include: yoga, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking and hiking with her family. She is also interested in becoming a better golfer and has taken Fit Fore Golf courses that give her more insight into treating clients with golf injuries. cheryl@brooklinvillagephysio.ca
Rick Fryzuk
Rick Fryzuk Owner/Physiotherapist M.Cl.Sc(Manip), B.Sc.(PT), FCAMPT, Cred MDT Rick Fryzuk is a Registered Physiotherapist who graduated in 1994 from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. I was able to gain extensive experience in Orthopaedics working in several different physiotherapy clinics prior to opening Brooklin Village Physiotherapy in 1999. Over the years I have continued to put a strong emphasis on my post graduate education finishing the former EV Series of courses and then completed the Advanced Spinal Manipulative Therapy Specialization Program with Wendy Aspinall in Scarborough in 1998. I also completed the McKenzie A through D courses and in 1999 successfully challenged the McKenzie Credentialing examination. I continued to take Orthopaedic and Sports therapy based courses and received my Part A’s in 2002 then continuing on through the orthopaedic system I passed my Part B’s in 2005 becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). I also have extensive experience in the treatment of sport's injuries coming from my time as the Chief Physiotherapist for the Ontario Provincial Women's Field Lacrosse Team, working with the Brooklin Redmen Lacrosse team and treating numerous high level athletes through the clinic. I have worked extensively over the years with athletes from various sports including hockey, figure skating, lacrosse, soccer, rugby and baseball to name a few. As I am a lifelong learner, I returned to University to further my education and have successfully completed my Master's degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy, MClSc (PT), from the University of Western Ontario in 2011. Luciana Sardo
Luciana graduated with her B.Sc in Physiotherapy in Brazil and has been practicing physiotherapy for over 20 year. She is fluent in both Portuguese and English. Luciana's focus is acute and chronic orthopaedics as well as sports and postural rehabilitation. Luciana gained a lot of experience while working with The National Brazilian Athletics Team and The National Brazilian Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. Luciana enjoys research and looking for ways to improve patient care. She has had some of her research studies published. Luciana is a strong believer in continuous learning and she has completed several post graduate trainings in manual therapy, TMJ, spinal instability, thoracic spine, thoraco-abdominal rehabilitation, palpatory anatomy, myofascial release, hydrotherapy, postural rehabilitation, lymphatic drainage therapy, isostretching, core rehabilitation, acupuncture and others. When not in the clinic Luciana’s hobbies include hiking, SUP, swimming, exercise and spending time with her family.
