Physiotherapy promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, and physical intervention. At the core is the patient's involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.
Kirsten graduated with a Bachelor's of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and a Master's of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta. Since then, she has developed an interest in vestibular rehabilitation, specifically concussions. She works part time in the clinic while completing another Master's of Science, researching concussion rehabilitation at the University of Calgary.
Following a motor vehicle collision, Kirsten was drawn to the field of physiotherapy. She felt cared for and empowered by her physiotherapist, and knew that she could do the same for others. Kirsten now enjoys meeting new clients and helping them get back to the activities that they love. She provides individualized and patient-centered treatment primarily through education, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue techniques and dry-needling.
Since Kirsten believes that exercise is the best medicine, she likes to lead by example in her personal life. She enjoys long distance running, strength training, rock climbing, and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. She also loves road trips, camping and travelling, and will entertain you with stories from her recent trips during treatments. Whatever your reason for visiting Panther is, Kirsten is excited to work with you to help you reach your goals.
